When an IRONMAN event first started in the Philippines in 2009, no one, except perhaps the people at Sunrise Events (the organization behind IRONMAN 70.3 Philippines), could have predicted the impact that the IRONMAN race was going to have. Six years down the road the event has grown into one of the best-supported athlete race experiences in the world.

Dim’s Diary 2014 – Ironman 70.3 Philippines
It has taken me almost a week to try and find the words to describe my trip to the Philippines. Not that it is a bad thing, completely the opposite actually! It was an experience that I will never forget and life long memories have been made which I will cherish forever.
What stood out during my trip to the Philippines was that the race was only a small part of the ‘Ironman experience’. The whole atmosphere made it so rewarding that to me there wasn’t any other option but to get out there and perform to my best on race day. Steffen Rules Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines
Caroline Steffen of Alaska Tri-Aspire lived up to her moniker of “Xena Warrior Princess” when she utterly dominated the 2014 Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines held August 3 at the Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa.
